Shanghai PDStars Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. is an innovative enterprise specialising in the application of partial discharge (PD) technology including product development, production, sales and PD testing services. The series of self-developed PD detection machines analyse the PD activities to evaluate the insulation degradation of high voltage power devices as GIS, power cables, switchgear, transformers andgenerators etc. It supplies with professional on-site testing service, and helps the customers find out the potential risk and diagnose the operating status of the power devices. Up to now, the company has completed testing tasks for more than 500 substations across China.
This extremely demanding task required the high-quality products and dependable service delivery of RS Components. During the product developing and on-site testing process, which involved literally thousands of individual pieces of equipment, a large number of defects were detected and rectified. According to Dr. Kennie Kwok, the Technical Director of Shanghai PDStars, “the no-minimum-order-quantity policy of RS Components was greatly appreciated.”
PDStars is now in the process of developing and manufacturing kinds of sensors and products used in different cases like hand-held devices, portable machines and on-line monitoring systems, which capture the PD signals by methods of AE, UHF, HFCT and TEV etc..
