SMC Vacuum Generator, For Use With ZK2 Series Vacuum Ejectors - ZK2A07K5PLA-08

This vacuum generator provides Compact pneumatic vacuum generation for automation systems, configured as a single‑unit ejector with integrated valves and an analogue pressure sensor. It is designed to Interface with ZK2 series vacuum ejectors and offers a ready‑to‑install solution for automated pick‑and‑place, handling and suction operations where a small footprint and electrical control are required.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum vacuum pressure -91 kPa for strong suction performance
• Supply pressure range 0.3 to 0.6 MPa enabling stable operation
• Power supply 12 to 24V DC for flexible electrical integration
• Air consumption 24 l/min to control operating costs
• Noise level 59 dB to reduce acoustic impact in workcells
• Analogue output 1 to 5V for continuous vacuum monitoring

Applications

• Suitable for pick‑and‑place systems in assembly lines
• Ideal for vacuum grippers on robotic end‑effectors
• Used with automated packaging and material handling
• Can be used for vacuum clamping in inspection rigs
• Suitable for integration into OEM pneumatic modules

What electrical connection is provided for the pressure sensor?

The sensor uses an L‑type plug connector supplied with a 3‑core oil‑resistant lead approximately 3 m long and an analogue output of 1 to 5 V.

How does the valve configuration affect control behaviour?

Pilot‑operated dual 2‑port valves with normally closed supply and release paths enable Rapid response and safe vacuum release under loss of control signal.

What filtration and protection does the unit include for the suction path?

A built‑in suction filter with a nominal 30 μm element and a filtration area of 510mm² protects the nozzle and sensing components from particulates.

What are the environmental limits for reliable sensor storage and operation?

The sensor can be stored between −20 and 70 °C and operated within 35 to 85% relative humidity without condensation.

How does the unit perform under mechanical stress?

It is specified to withstand vibration up to 30 m/s² and impact forces up to 150 m/s² for industrial use.
