By Material

• Fiberglass: Fibreglass insulation is manufactured from fine glass fibres produced from materials such as silica sand and recycled glass. Appropriate PPE should be worn during handling and installation to minimise exposure to airborne fibres. Fibreglass is one of the most widely used thermal insulator materials due to its low cost and effective thermal performance across a broad temperature range.
• Mineral Wool: There are three main types of mineral wool: glass wool made from glass, rock wool produced from natural rock such as basalt, and slag wool made from metallurgical slag. Mineral wool offers good thermal and acoustic insulation properties for both building and industrial applications.
• Polystyrene: Polystyrene is a thermoplastic insulation material available primarily as expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS). • Blanket: Flexible roll insulation that is easy to cut and fit into irregular spaces, cavities, and around equipment. Widely used in building construction and HVAC applications where a conformable heat insulating material is required.
• Foam Board: Rigid foam board insulation sheets provide high thermal resistance in a compact, structural format. Commonly used in wall, roof, and floor insulation in both new construction and retrofit projects across Singapore.
