The Nisshinbo Micro Devices Overcharge Protection IC is used for over charge or discharge and over current of rechargeable one cell lithium ion or lithium polymer battery. It can detect over charge or discharge of Li+ one cell and excess load current, further include a short circuit protector for preventing large external short circuit current and the excess charge current. It is composed of four voltage detectors, reference units, a delay circuit, a short circuit protector, an oscillator, a counter, and logic circuits.
