Harting HAN 6B Series Heavy Duty Power Connector, 16A Current Rating - 10330060000

This heavy-duty power connector is a compact, panel-mount industrial connector designed to deliver three-phase power in automation and machinery environments. Supplied as a complete Han‑Kit with hood, insert and contacts, it is intended for robust electrical distribution where IP-rated protection and standardised connector systems are required. The unit supports cable entry via a metal cable gland and is suitable for installations using screw-terminal wiring.

Features & Benefits

• 16A rated current for sustained three-phase supply
• 500V rated voltage enabling higher-voltage distribution
• 6kV impulse withstand for transient overvoltage protection
• IP65 protection when locked for dust and splash resistance
• Metal hood with M20 cable gland for secure cable retention

**Applications**

• Suitable for panel-mounted power feeds on machine tools
• Ideal for factory automation power distribution modules
• Used for three-phase supply to motor control centres
• Can be used for connection in electrical distribution enclosures
• Suitable for harsh industrial workshop installations

What termination method does it use and what wire sizes are supported?

It uses screw terminals compatible with conductor sizes 1–2.5mm² and AWG18–14.

Which materials are used for the exterior housing and what benefit does this offer?

The hood and bulkhead housing are die-cast metal or aluminium alloy, providing mechanical robustness and secure cable anchoring when used with a metal cable gland.

How does the connector behave under varying ambient conditions?

The rated current is continuous when all contacts are energised

current-carrying capacity is limited by insert and insulation thermal properties and derating applies with rising ambient temperature.

Can inserts be used in grounded and ungrounded systems?

Inserts are specified for use in grounded circuits

certain ratings note application in ungrounded or grounded Delta circuits for particular configurations.

Are coding options available to prevent incorrect mating?

Coding can be applied to adjacent connectors to reduce the risk of incorrect mating in multi-connector installations.

Note

Male and female inserts may be fitted to a hood or housing if the installation requires such a reverse configuration.

Approvals

UL, CSA, SEV
