TESA Cloth Tape, 50mm Width, 50m Length - 04688-00023-00

This cloth tape is a polyethylene-backed adhesive product intended for industrial sealing, bundling and insulation tasks. It combines a woven fabric support with a natural rubber adhesive to provide a balance of tack and conformability for use where moderate heat exposure and electrical isolation are required.

Features and Benefits:

• 260μm backing thickness delivers stable dimensional behaviour
• Natural rubber adhesive provides strong initial tack
• 52N/cm tensile strength resists tearing under strain
• 4.5N/cm adhesion strength maintains secure bonds on substrates
• 2900V breakdown voltage supports Basic electrical insulation

Applications

• Suitable for temporary cable wrapping during maintenance
• Used with conduit runs to provide mechanical protection
• Ideal for securing packaging in heavy-duty handling
• Can be used for surface marking and colour coding
• Suitable for heat-exposed joints up to 110°C

What is the backing material and how does it perform?

The backing is polyethylene which offers a flexible, tear-resistant carrier with consistent thickness.

How does the adhesive behave during application?

The natural rubber adhesive yields immediate tack for quick placement and adheres well to a range of surfaces.

What thermal limits apply during continuous use?

The tape tolerates operating temperatures up to 110°C without loss of Basic mechanical properties.

How does the tape perform electrically?

It exhibits a breakdown voltage of 2900V, providing a degree of dielectric separation for low-voltage insulation tasks.
