The Phoenix Contact FO converter is designed to convert electrical data signals into optical signals. It features integrated optical diagnostics that allow for continuous monitoring of the fiber optic paths. With a floating switch contact, it provides advance warning of critical paths. This FO converter is ideal for RS-485 2-wire bus systems and supports data rates up to 500 kbps. It offers high-quality electrical isolation and can be combined with the PSI copper repeater for modular connectivity. With a wide supply voltage range of 18 V DC to 30 V DC, it also has the option for redundant power supply.
