StarTech Privacy Screen, 15.6in Screen Size, Transparent - 156L-PRIVACY-SCREEN

This privacy screen is a removable transparent Protector for 15.6in 16:9 laptop displays designed to limit side viewing and improve Visual comfort. It provides two viewing-surface options to suit changing light conditions and includes adhesive strips and mounting tabs for front-of-monitor installation. The filter reduces blue-light exposure to assist prolonged use and can be positioned or removed quickly using a corner cut-out.

Features and Benefits:

• Microlouvre technology blocks side viewing for data confidentiality
• Blue-light reduction up to 51% to lessen digital eye strain
• Reversible matt and glossy sides for varied lighting conditions
• Matt side resists fingerprints and surface scratches
• Adhesive strips and tabs permit bezel and slim-bezel mounting

Applications

• Suitable for open-plan office environments where screens are exposed
• Ideal for finance and banking areas handling sensitive data
• Used with healthcare and government workstations requiring discretion
• Can be used on hot-desking laptops in shared spaces
• Used for education settings where privacy is needed during assessments

How is the filter attached to a laptop screen?

It ships with residue-free transparent adhesive strips for slim bezels and separate mounting tabs for raised bezels.

What viewing angle does the filter allow for the user?

The usable viewing window spans 60 degrees centred on the screen, defined as +/-30 degrees from the centreline.

How does the reversible finish change performance?

The matt face reduces glare and adds a fingerprint-resistant surface while the glossy face maintains greater colour vibrancy.

What material composes the privacy shield and what is its thickness?

The filter is manufactured from plastic and presents a slim profile at approximately 0.5mm thickness.
