Festo Serial Interface, 5-Pin M12 Connector - VAEM-L1-S-8-PT

This serial interface from Festo is a pneumatic logic controller that plays a crucial role in pressurised air systems. It establishes the performance of predetermined functions such as stopping, pausing or starting operations and applications. You can connect it directly to a Fieldbus or use a cable to link it to an IO-Link master. Each pin actuates one solenoid coil and enables multiple valve functions. This versatile device lets you switch valves by means of positive or negative logic.

• Sturdy and durable metal components and housing for use in heavy-duty applications

• Wide operating temperature range of -5°C to +50°C enables you to use this item in harsh ambient conditions

• Light weight of only 49g for easy handling and minimal system strain

• Pre-drilled holes and included screws for quick installation

Applications

• Industrial manufacturing and assembly lines

• Automotive applications

• Aerospace and defence systems

When should I use a pneumatic logic controller?

Pneumatic logic controllers are especially useful in settings with lots of dust and moisture as they operate with compressed air and can't be damaged by these elements. They also reduce the risk of fires or explosions because compressed air can't ignite.
