PicoScope 3000 Series Oscilloscope, 70MHz Bandwidth, 8-bit Vertical Resolution - PicoScope 3404D MSO

This oscilloscope is a PC-connected mixed-signal instrument designed for capture and analysis of analogue and digital signals in bench and portable test environments. It connects via USB for power and data, supports a broad range of serial bus interfaces, and delivers mid-bandwidth performance suitable for signal integrity checks, timing analysis and protocol inspection on multi-channel systems.

Features and Benefits:

• 70MHz bandwidth delivers clear analogue signal reproduction
• 1ns/div time base enables fine temporal resolution
• 8-bit vertical resolution supports detailed waveform quantisation
• 4mV/div minimum sensitivity reveals small signal details
• 5ns rise time preserves fast edge information

Applications

• Suitable for debugging CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and LIN systems
• Ideal for mixed-signal embedded development and validation
• Used for laboratory waveform capture and timing measurements
• Can be used for multi-channel automotive ECU signal analysis
• Used with PC software for long-duration data logging

How many input channels can I monitor simultaneously?

The instrument provides twenty channels combining analogue and digital inputs for concurrent signal observation.

What are the physical dimensions for portable use?

The unit measures 190 mm length, 170 mm width and 40 mm height for Compact transport.

Which power and connectivity method is required?

It is powered by, and interfaces with, a host PC via USB for both supply and data transfer.

Which environmental or regulatory standards does it meet?

It complies with RoHS and WEEE directives.

What is the shortest measurable time division and its impact?

The minimum time base is 1 ns/div, enabling capture of sub-microsecond events.
