PicoScope 9400 Series Oscilloscope, 5GHz Bandwidth, 2 Channels - PicoScope 9402-05

This oscilloscope is a PC‑based instrument designed to capture and analyse fast electrical signals using a host computer. It connects via a universal Interface and is powered by an AC adaptor, enabling extended bench or field use. The unit complies with EN61010-1:2010 and EN61326-1:2013 safety and EMC standards, and provides fine timebase control for tasks ranging from high‑speed transient capture to longer‑duration monitoring.

Features and Benefits:

• 5GHz bandwidth provides capture of very high‑frequency signals
• 50ps rise time enables accurate edge characterisation
• 12‑bit vertical resolution improves measurement fidelity
• 10mV/div minimum sensitivity detects small amplitude signals
• 0.05ns/div minimum timebase resolves Rapid timing events

Applications

• Suitable for high‑speed digital signal integrity analysis
• Ideal for RF component verification and testing
• Used for transient capture in power electronics investigations
• Can be used for laboratory‑based education and research experiments
• Suitable for debugging high‑bandwidth analogue circuits

What channel configuration does it provide?

It offers two independent input channels for differential or dual‑signal comparison.

What are the physical dimensions of the instrument?

The instrument measures 220mm length, 160mm width and 55mm height.

How is long‑duration signal monitoring achieved?

The maximum timebase setting extends to 1000s/div for prolonged observation.

Which Interface and power arrangements are supported?

It uses a universal Interface type for PC connectivity and runs from an AC adaptor.

What vertical scaling range is available for measurements?

Vertical sensitivity ranges from 10mV/div up to 250mV/div for varying signal amplitudes.
