The soft starter has become increasingly established as an alternative to the star-delta starter. The new DS7 series that combines these benefits with the Eaton xStart system.
The DS7 is a fully integral part of xStart and all existing components can be used.
Designed for normal applications such as pumps, fans and small conveyors, the compact DS7 is ideal. The DS7 is also available with SmartWire-DT connection to simplify wiring and enhance functionality as an automation solution

Can be connected directly to the PKE device
Low operating frequency (5 s, 3x Ie, 10 Starts)
The built-in fan removes any limitations
Can be used with existing standard Eaton Products
Available from 1.5kW up to 110kW
24V DC and 230 - 460V AC voltage options available

• The mains supply voltage is 400 - 480 V AC
• The shock resistance is 8 g/11 ms
• The average head dissipation at rated load cycle is 25W
• Ramp time acceleration is 1-30 s
• With internal bypass contacts
• The soft start is not a current limiting circuit breaker
• Forms part of the DS7 range
