The STMicroelectronics Battery management system evaluation board for low voltage applications is built with automotive grade components, ensuring reliability and robustness. It connects directly to a battery pack and provides monitoring of both state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) for each individual cell. In addition, the board manages battery balancing through passive discharge, enabled by the software preloaded on the on board SPC58EC80E5 microcontroller. This integrated solution offers a practical and efficient platform for evaluating battery management functions in automotive and industrial environments.
