The STMicroelectronics Evaluation board is built around the SPC560P Pictus 32 bit MCU and the L9908 gate driver, enabling the control of six N channel FETs for brushless motor applications in the automotive sector. It supports independent encoder inputs and Hall sensors to accurately detect and regulate motor speed. The L9908 gate driver provides independent control of each N channel FET through dedicated PWM input pins, while its configuration, protection, and diagnostic functions are managed via SPI communication with the SPC560P microcontroller. This combination ensures efficient motor control and reliable system performance for demanding automotive environments.
