Vishay VSMY98545 Series IR Emitting Diodes
The VSMY98545 series, from Vishay Semiconductors, are high power IR emitting diodes. These surface mount (SMT) devices has a dome shaped moulded lens containing a 42 mil chip.
Suitable applications for the VSMY98545 series include; machine vision, Camera illumination (3D gaming) and IR illumination for CMOS Cameras.

SurfLight™ Technology
SurfLight™ series, from Vishay Semiconductors, consists of high power Infrared (IR) emitters. Their SurfLight™ technology enables the majority of the light and power to be emitted directly through the TOP of the chip. Standard IR emitters send their light in all directions.
SurfLight™ technology therefore offers a higher intensity output of light. A higher intensity can reduce the number of emitters required for a design. This series also offers high speed with a high Pulse current operation.
The reliable SurfLight™ IR LEDs are Ideal for applications such as IR data transmission or communication, 3D TV glasses synchronisation, automotive, industrial and IR illumination for CCTV cameras.
