The outer casing and inner contact carrier are constructed from a toughened engineering material designed to provide high thermal stability and mechanical strength. The Scame splashproof connectors also feature a convenient ribbed finger tab on the outside of the lid enabling single hand opening. A domed cable gland at the rear of the splashproof connector provides external cable clamping and additional support.
