HARTING SEK 18 Series IDC Connector, 20 Contacts, 2.54mm Pitch - 09185206813

This IDC connector is a shrouded, right‑angle female Interface designed to link flat cables to PCB‑mounted assemblies. It accepts 20 contacts arranged in two rows and is intended for insulation‑displacement termination to AWG28/7-AWG26/7 conductors. The housing is a thermoplastic PBT insert that provides mechanical support and strain relief via an integrated clamp, suited to applications requiring Compact cable‑to‑board connections and defined mating characteristics.

Features and Benefits:

• Rated 2.5A current for dependable power handling
• Withstands -55°C to 125°C for harsh environments
• Gold‑over‑nickel mating contacts for improved conductivity
• 1kV test voltage for high‑voltage endurance
• Insertion and withdrawal forces ≤40N for repeatable mating

Applications

• Suitable for railway vehicle electrical harnesses requiring fire protection
• Ideal for signal wiring in industrial control cabinets
• Used with 1.27mm pitch flat cable assemblies for Compact routing
• Can be used for cable‑to‑board connections in communications equipment
• Suitable for mass termination runs in production environments

What contact material and finish are used for conductivity?

Contacts are MADE from a copper alloy with gold plating on the mating side over nickel for contact performance.

How many mating cycles can be expected from this connector?

The connector endures at least 250 mating cycles under specified conditions.

What insulation characteristics does it provide?

It meets an isolation group of IIIa and was tested to 1kV RMS for dielectric strength.

Which flammability class applies to the insert material?

The thermoplastic insert meets UL94V‑0 material flammability classification.
