Belden Alpha Wire Hook-Up Wire, 10 Strands, 305m Length - EcoWire Series - 6714 OR001

This hook-up wire from Belden's Alpha Wire range is ideal for applications where space is tight, but you don't want to compromise on signal speed and strength. Thanks to a modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE) insulator, it's up to 45% thinner than its PVC equivalents without increased resistance. Since mPPE contains no hazardous chemicals, it’s also fully recyclable, making this high-performance wire an environmentally friendly option.

Features & Benefits

• Flame retardant mPPE sheathing keeps the wiring safe from fire

• 305m length can be cut to size and used for multiple jobs

• Orange sheath for easy identification

Applications

• Low-voltage lighting and lamp cords

• Toy car batteries

• Video doorbells

What’s the difference between a shielded and an unshielded cable?

A shielded cable has built-in protection against electromagnetic interference. An unshielded cable like this one doesn't offer this protection but is more flexible so easier to install.
