Spelsberg TK-PS IP66 Enclosure without Metric Knockouts
The TK-PS series from Spelsberg is an empty enclosure without pre-pressed metric knockouts designed to house a wide range of electrical, electronic and pneumatic equipment. The enclosure base is made from grey polystyrene and there is a choice of either a transparent polycarbonate or grey polystyrene lid. The TK-PS has a IP66 rating and is resistant to most acids and alkalis.

What is a Knockout?

Whats the difference between a polystyrene and a polycarbonate enclosure?
Both are plastic and resistant to rust and corrosion and will not dent – unlike metal. Both at halogen free which is important to consider for applications where the possibility of fire can lead to exposure to harmful fumes.
Polystyrene is stronger than budget material like plastic, withstand knocks and has fair cable retention.
Polycarbonate is recommended for applications that may sustain heavy impact, better UV protection, resistant to temperature changes, external and internal use.
