Use this industrial-strength foam tape from 3M when you need to make strong, permanent bond between materials. The viscoelastic acrylic adhesive flows into microscopic irregularities in the material to form a strong bond that seals out dust and moisture. Once fully set, this tape can comfortably hold dynamic and static loads, making it a suitable way to replace mechanical fasteners.

How do I get the best bond with this tape?

Designed for permanent bonding to powder coated and rigit irregular surfaces. Offers good adhesion to the widest variety of surfaces, including further high and medium surface energy plastics and paints, metals and glass.

To get the strongest bond, apply the tape on one side, then use a roller to remove any remaining air bubbles while the liner is still in place. Then you can attach the two parts. For best results, ensure the surfaces are at least +10°C when applying the tape.
