SKF Feeler Gauge, 13 Blades, 100mm Length - 729865 A

Use this feeler gauge from SKF to measure the internal clearance of a spherical roller bearing. It helps to make the adjustment of a bearing easier and more accurate for improved operation and performance. The 13 blades fold up into a small unit that you can easily carry in your pocket or toolbox and use in small spaces. This feeler gauge is able to accurately measure spaces as narrow as 0.03mm.

• Versatile with a wide measuring range of 0.03 to 0.3mm
• Foldable blades fit neatly into a protective steel enclosure when not in use
• Supplied with a plastic cover that keeps the gauge clean and dust-free
• Each blade individually marked for ease-of-use

Applications

• Marine industry
• Mining and minerals processing
• Packaging warehouses
• Automated assembly lines

How do I use a feeler gauge?

The most common way of using a feeler gauge is the go-no-go technique, where you start with the thinnest blade and work your way up. When you reach a point where the shim won't fit into a gap or offers too much resistance, you've then determined the size of your gap, which is the measurement on the previous blade used.

Bearing Mounting, Dismounting and Inspection Tools

Bearing tools help maintain maximum bearing service life and help to optimise machine performance. In addition, bearing tools contribute to the overall safety and performance of a system. A range of bearing tools are available from SKF that include bearing pullers, bearing mounting and dismounting tools, bearing heaters, manual and automatic bearing lubricators, inspection equipment including bearing electrical discharge detectors, stroboscopes, alignment tools, protection blankets, infrared thermometers, and shim kits. Certain bearing tools are available in kit form.
