ITT Cannon Socket Contact


The ITT Cannon Sure-Seal series female socket contact has wire size ranging between 16AWG and 20AWG. This contact is made of copper alloy and has gold or silver plating. It can be used with the Sure-Seal connectors.

IP67 ITT Sure-seal & mini Sure-seal

Developed to meet the increased requirements for safety and reliability in the automotive field these sealed connectors satisfy all of the parameters defined by automotive/industrial standards covering such areas as vibration, shock, saltwater spray, industrial gas, low millivolt drop and low contact resistance.

The simple, one-piece moulded body means that no other parts, apart from the contacts, are required to complete the connection.

The plugs and receptacles are polarised to prevent mismating, using 2 stepped planes on each of the mating faces, which must be properly oriented for the contacts to engage.

The mated connectors are IP67 rated and sealing integrity is still maintained with exposure to brake fluid, gasoline, diesel fuel, anti-freeze, ultra-violet, ozone and steam cleaning under normal operating conditions.

Cable Boots, for example, stock no. 167-9540 to seal the wired cable jacket to the connector housing are available and must be ordered separately.

The mini Sure-Seal range of connectors offers all the advantages of the ITT Sure-seal product but with reduced size. The compact design coupled with resistance to brake fluid, anti-freeze, fuels and steam cleaning enables the connector to be used in any harsh environment area of the vehicle.
