The Renesas Electronics 16-bit 3.3 V to 5 V level shifting transceiver is manufactured using advanced dual metal CMOS technology. It contains two separate supply rails; B port has VCCB, which is set at 5 V, and A port has VCCA, which is set to operate at 3.3 V. This allows for translation from a 3.3V to 5V environment and vice-versa. This device is designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. It has been designed with a ±24 mA output driver. This driver is capable of driving a moderate to heavy load while maintaining speed performance.

0.5 MICRON CMOS Technology

Typical tSK(o) (Output Skew) < 250ps

ESD > 2000V per MIL-STD-883, Method 3015, > 200V using machine model (C = 200pF, R = 0)

CMOS power levels (0.4μ W typ. static)

Rail-to-rail output swing for increased noise margin

Available in SSOP and TSSOP packages
