Hammond 1553 Soft Sided Handheld Enclosure, T Shape


The Hammond T shape enclosure with soft sides is ergonomically designed for handheld comfort and is ideally suited to house instrument or mobile data applications that require a keypad and display. This handheld case is moulded from flame retardant ABS plastic and carries a UL flammability rating of 94V-0. Available with either a black, RAL 9011 colour housing or a grey, RAL 7035 colour housing.

Both the display and keyboard areas are recessed for membrane devices

Moulded from flame retardant ABS plastic, choice of black (RAL 9011) or grey (RAL 7035) - material carries a UL flammability rating of 94V-0.

Handheld section of enclosure has a dark grey (RAL 7012) soft sided plastic grip

Enclosure is assembled with M3-0.5x18mm Philips machine screws, threaded into integral brass bushings.

Integral brass bushings are factory inserted into top half of the enclosure

Lap joint construction provides protection against access of dust and splashing water, IP54

PCB mounts are moulded into the top and bottom halves of the case

Available with or without a battery door/compartment

Contains either one or two removable end panels for easy modification

Bottom half of enclosure has a moulded label recess on the back, 56x42mm

Note

Stock nos. 770-9344 and 770-9335 have a battery door (compartment accepts either four AA batteries or one 9 volt PP3 battery). Stock nos. 770-9331 and 770-9338 have a removable bottom end panel as well as a removable top end panel.
