From Amphenol, this Manual Service Disconnect (MSD) is for use in charging Plug In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and features a High Voltage Interlock Loop (HVIL). The plug features a two-stage lever to open the HVIL circuit prior to separation of HV contacts. The MSD presents a disconnect for internal high voltage battery packs without the need for specialist tools, while protecting the battery from short circuit.
With a high degree of ingress protection, this MSD offers a safe and reliable solution for PHEV servicing.
