It's designed for use with terminal blocks in the 2002 series and covers the open side of the unit. This prevents you from touching live parts and keeps you safe from electric shock. As the plate snap-fits onto the terminal block, you don't need any installation tools. It's made of durable PA that's resistant to impact, so you can count on long-term performance in harsh environments.
