The S8VM range is in a traditional metal frame format with some new features. The S8VM range can be used as a first indication to supply problems which can result in lost production, The Early warning system (EWS) can diagnose different types of voltage dip and loss which in turn can be wired into a PLC or management system to warn of impending problems.

The S8VM Switch mode, Bottom-mounted power supply is a covered type, terminal block structure with screw terminals. Your fingers are protected from electric shocks. S8VM-60012C has a power rating of 600 W and an output voltage of 12 V dc plus a rated input voltage of 100 V ac to 240 V ac. This model incudes green output indicators plus has a fan with forced air cooling.
Bottom mounted power supplies can be front mounted using the correct mounting bracket for 300 w, 600 W and 1500 W models. Part number S8VM-60012C can be front mounted using a DIN Rail mounting bracket series S82Y-VM. Brackets are sold separately – see stock number 818-6815.

What is a DIN Rail Mounted Power Supply?
A DIN Rail is a standard type of rail that is used to mount the power supply into racks. DIN Rails are a support for equipment. DIN Rails are normally made from aluminium but if there is a chance that the power supply suffers any shock or vibration, use a steel DIN Rail.
What is A Switch Mode Power Supply?
Switch mode power supplies are a general purpose power supply include a switching regulator converting AC mains power to a lower voltage DC. A Switch mode power supply is efficient limiting any wasted energy.
Safety and Storage.
Do not use an inverter output for the power supply. Mount the power supply using a DIN Rail and secure correctly ensuring limited vibration and shock resistance. Install the power supply away from contactors and other devices. Keep the power supply away from strong high frequency noise and surge.
