This shuts out contaminants, provides strain relief against twisting and makes sure your wiring can't be pulled out accidentally. An IP68 rating indicates you can safely submerge it in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes, meaning it stands up to harsh industrial settings. To set it up in a matter of moments, simply slip it over your cable and screw it in place.
