RS PRO 50 mm Orbital Sander, 1/4-inch Air Inlet, 16,500 rpm
This random orbital air sander combines both the oscillating action of an orbital sander with the rotation of a disc sander, giving you the best of both worlds. It's suitable for use in workshops and body shops.
The RS PRO 50 mm Orbital Air Sander is a palm-sized, lightweight air-powered random orbital sander that allows you to access small areas that are often unreachable by conventional sanders. As well as delivering smooth finishes, the sander can efficiently remove layers of rust, body filler or paint. It reduces the chance of leaving the swirl marks that can occur with regular sanders. The random orbit sanding pattern is produced by simultaneously spinning the sanding disk and moving it in small ellipses, giving you maximum control and a professional finish.
It has a 1/4-inch air inlet thread, a high-power motor with a rear exhaust to keep airflow away from your hand, and a recommended air pressure of 90 psi/6.2 bar. You'll find it used for collision repair and restoration projects.
