    Impact Screwdrivers

Impact screwdrivers also known as manual impact drivers turn linear motion in the form of an impact on one end with a hammer into a sudden turn to loosen stubborn or tightly fastened screws. Impact screwdrivers consist of a driver end and a hollow handle which contains a spring which pushes against the driver end. When the end of the handle is hit with a hammer it compresses the spring which forces a pin at the end of the spring to push into an angled slot which forces the driver to turn. This sudden twist will break the tension that is holding the stuck screw in place and loosen it. This impact mechanism allows the impact screwdriver to generate more torque than a traditional screwdriver using less physical effort. Impact screwdrivers are ideal for use in applications where space is limited in a wide range of industries including automotive and construction.
