Electronic Sounders

Electronic sounders are used in numerous environments, including commercial and industrial buildings. They are all used for different reasons and have different sounders to raise attention to different incidents.

How do electronic sounders work?

A sounder is connected to an alarm circuit which forms an integral part of the system, these sounders are usually mounted on a wall or in an open space area. They are manufactured from tough materials, to ensure their durability and are the tone or maximum sound output is suited to that environment where distinctive warning must be given for example in the event of a fire.

Electronic sounders all give off there own tone such as bells, buzzers, horns, sounders and even voice alarms and are selected and used to suit the environment/ application they are specifically being used for. Most of these sounders you can adjust and pre-set the sound level or the electronic siren or signal according to your needs.

Bells may be used as fire alarms are of paramount in saving lives, buzzers and horns can be used in industrial areas, as well as everyday household applications such as microwaves. Sirens can be used in conditions where they need to attract interest/ present a warning to someone. Horns can be used in either electronic or non-electronic environments to suit the application, such as an air horn, typically used in industrial and marine environments. Voice alarms can be used in an evacuation process or to clearly announce important information, where you can record your own message to play over your system or set the specific tone accordingly to your application/ environment.
