It is not a good practice using swabs or cloths as they leave threads behind meaning decreasing contact performance and lifetime.
What is the difference between Male and Female Connectors?
A Male Connector has solid pins (usually between 3-pin to 7-pins) whereas Female Connector has central conductor with a-holes.
