The 3M single stationary battery kit is a face-mounted air purifying device that is intended to be used in certain asbestos applications. The system incorporates a belt-mounted battery pack, full face mask and a particulate filter which provides protection against respiratory, face and eye hazards whist working in environments containing asbestos. It has audible alarms including for low battery, low motor speed and high motor speed (which can indicate when the filterneeds changing), Its IP54 Water ingress protection allows continued operation in decontamination shower. Blower unit and battery should not be submerged.
