The Draeger X-pore 8500 IP powered air-purifying respirator filters the ambient air and makes it available as breathable air. The device continuously takes in ambient air through the filter. The filter absorbs harmful substances, depending on the filter type. This way, the ambient air is recycled and finally reaches the face piece. There it is available as breathable air. A continuous overpressure in the face piece prevents contaminated ambient air from penetrating.
