Acetal or polyacetal is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic and is a member of the family of plastics called polyoxymethylene (POM). POM-C acetal is POM copolymer which, due to its high crystallinity, is especially tough and with good chemical resistance. This type of acetal also offers high mechanical strength and rigidity, excellent wear, low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. Acetal also has good sliding properties, it is slippy, this means that components made from acetal slide very easily and don’t stick or lock up. Acetal solid plastic sheet is classified as an engineering plastic and, due to its unique properties, is ideal for use in a wide range of industries and is also one of the best engineering plastics for machining.

This particular acetal plastic sheet has been modified by the addition of a special anti-static agent which means this product has excellent electrical conductivity. The only down-side of this is that it can compromise the hardness and strength of the material in certain applications
