Whats on board?
Processor: Infineon SAK-TC275T-64F200W 200MHz triple TriCore safety MCU
Memory: 4MB ECC eFlash memory, 472KB ECC SRAM
Safety: On-chip CIC61508 safety monitor system for use with SafeTlib
Power: +5 V USB or 9-12 V barrel connector power supply
Button: Reset button
Technical details:
Operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C
USB direct debug interface
Two cores have 'shadows' running in clock lockstep for error/failure detection
Supplied with basic drivers for DS-ADC, SAR, GTM, GPT, CCU6, ASC, LIN, SPI, QSPI and Ethernet
The development tools available are based on Arduino IDE and HighTec Free Aurix Toolchain
Compatible with: AUTOSAR V3.2 and V4.x
All AURIX users (whether new or prospective) are provided with instant access to over 300 shields
A compatible 30A DC Motor Control Shield is available under RS Part No. 906-2874.
Using the TC275 CPU, you can achieve 150 to 200 32-bit instructions per microsecond.
Can I use Arduino IDE?
You can use the standard Arduino IDE, but must install the specific add-in for the ShieldBuddy.
How does the ShieldBuddy differ to the Arduino Mega or Due?
Firstly, the CPU is bigger than counterparts, featuring 176 pins. Although it can work with Arduino IDE and the connector arrangement is identical, the processor is different. There are 3 processors integrated within the LQFP package.
