Microchip Technology Linear Regulator
The Microchip Technology MIC5355 series low dropout, dual and micropower CMOS linear regulator has an electric rating of 2.5V and 5.5V with 500mA output current. It is an 8-pin surface mount, thermally enhanced MSOP package. This device acts as a variable resistor, continuously adjusting to maintain a constant output voltage. The regulated voltage must be lower than the input voltage.
