This digital power meter offers true RMS measurement for highly accurate and reliable readings resulting in quality measurement and data. The meter has been designed with a four-digit resolution with built-in auto-scaling and can display single-phase ampere readings. This is an ideal panel meter for direct measurement of active power that can be used to monitor the flow of current.

Features and Benefits:

• This single-phase RS PRO digital panel ammeter offers true RMS measurement to ensure accurate and reliable readings
• The meter is designed with a four-digit resolution with auto-scaling and gives continuous and instantaneous readings
• It also features a field-programmable CT primary and secondary
• The power meter enclosure housing measures 96 x 96 x 55 mm
• Panel cut out size required is 90 x 90 x 55 mm
• The device offers a flush panel mounting installation
• Class 1.0 accuracy as per IEC 62053-21

Digital Panel Ammeters, also known as digital amp meters, are used to measure and monitor current flow within electrical circuits. They are an incredibly versatile device that can be used across a wide range of applications and can be battery powered or plugged in to direct electricity. An example of a digital ammeter use is that it can be installed to measure the current flow through a newly built building to ensure that the current is not too high or too low so that the current can safely power electrical devices within the building. Digital ammeters can most commonly be found in:

• Laboratories
• Schools
• Construction sites
• Industrial and manufacturing sites

What are the benefits of using a digital ammeter compared to an analogue ammeter?

One of the biggest benefits of using a digital ammeter is the fact that it gives continuous and instantaneous readings. Analogue ammeters are used for the same purpose as a digital meter, however, the readings that the digital units give, are often a lot more accurate and easier to take data and results from. The digital units can be run directly from an electrical power socket, or battery-powered, meaning that they are easily portable and useable in environments that don’t have power sources near them, like construction sites or other outdoor spaces.
