Battery Charging & Monitoring Controllers, Linear Technology

Linear Technology created a wide range of battery charger IC offered in linear or switching topologies. They are suitable for any rechargeable battery chemistry this includes Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), as well as Nickel Cadmium (NiCD) and Nickel metal hydride (NiMH). LTC monolithic switching regulator Xenon Photoflash chargers will allow you to trigger a Xenon flash lamp.
Battery monitoring ICs such as the multicell battery stack monitors incorporate 12-bit ADCs, precision voltage references, multiplexer and a serial interface. Applications may include backup battery systems, high voltage data acquisition systems, hybrid electric vehicles and high power portable.
