Audio DACs

An Audio Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) captures and converts high-quality digital audio to direct line level output analogue signal. Selection specification includes the number of DAC channels, resolution in bits, sampling rate in kHz or Samples per a Second (SPS), analogue output in mono, stereo or multi-channel audio.
The control interface is managed through the SPI and I2C serial bus or hardware. The sampled analogue signals are digitally represented in the Pulse-Code Modulation (PCM) and I2S bus.

Differential outputs offer high precision. On-chip voltage reference is a special feature. The DAC output is perfectly suited for headphone amplifiers and Class-D, Class AB speaker amplifiers. Digital audio converting is found in applications of Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), High Definition (HD) Radio, digital media players, automotive audio systems, and audio video receivers.
